I am looking for more in depth information about my 3rd Great Grandfather John Cullen, who was born in Limerick, in 1839. He was possibly in the St Michael's Parish as well. I don't have any information about where his parents were born and married. Also, no information about when either John and/or his family immigrated to the US. Also, no information stating whether he had other siblings or not. Although there are family rumors that he did have a Brother who was living in California during the 1860's, but that's all. So, lots of gaps to fill, and questions to answer. What I do have is that his parents were John Cullen, and Mary Browne. And that John, my 3rd Great Grandfather, doesn't show up anywhere until 1861, in California, when he signed up with the Union, and was with the California Volunteers during the American Civil War. He was stationed at Camp Douglas, in Salt Lake City, Utah, from 1862 to 1864. He also married Catherine (Kate) Beach in 1864, in Salt Lake City, and had 2 Boys, John Horace, and Rufus Cullen. They eventually moved to Hamilton, Whitepine, Nevada, where John died in 1869, and is actually buried there too. Anyways, I'm just reaching out to anyone who might have some ideas, or even some info regarding my ancestors. As well as reaching out to any possible connections with other Cullen Family Members!! Thank you!!
