Hi My 2nd great grandfather John Ginty was born in Attymass in 1834 the son of James Ginty and Nappy (possibly Igoe) The family seemed to moved to Kilmacteige parish in County Sligo. Married Ann Carroll abt 1858 and immigrated to Boston MA in 1884 and settled in Troy NY.

Michael "Mike" Joseph Ginty born August 22, 1866 in townland of Kilgellia, Parish of Attymass, County Mayo (son of Michael Ginty and Catherine Howley).
Family moved to Keighley, England in about 1871. Father died in Keighly, England in 1877. Mike emigrated to USA on the ship S.S. Servia (Liverpool to NYC) on May 11, 1885 by himself.
His mother and siblings all emigrated to Philadelphia between 1881-1889. Married Mary Ann Moran on July 7, 1888 in Philadelphia, PA. Eventually settled in Baltimore, Maryland. Father of 6 children. - Died February 21, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland.
