Thomas Samuel Lynch born 13-10-1767 and was Christened at St Paul's, Dublin City [Arran Quay, Old Glasnevin, St. Paul's, Arran Quay]. Parents Bryan and Jane Lynch

Thomas may have joined the Gloucestershire 61st Regiment of Foot on 1 May 1790 and left on 5-2-1791.He enlisted at the Savoy Military prison in Middlesex.
On the 26th of June, 1794 he may have joined the Wessex 56th regiment of foot.
On the 17-8-1796 he definitely joined the New South Wales Corp (102nd regiment) in the Hulks on the Thames.
On 6-8-1798 he left for Cork on the Minerva. The ship was delayed by the Irish revolution in Cork. The boat had 191 prisoners of which 78 were political prisoners.
On 24-8-1799 the Minerva sailed to Sydney. On board he met his future wife Celia Daley who was born in Dublin in 1768.They arrived in Sydney in 1800 where they married.
He joined the Veteran Company [the 73rd Highland Regiment] when Governor MacQuarie arrived in Sydney in 1810.
In 1814 his service ended and there is a record at the UK, Royal Hospital Chelsea Pensioner Soldier Service Records, 1760-1920 [Royal Regiment of Artillery] which may be him.
He was survived by a daughter Mary Lynch born 3-2-1803. She was my 3rd great grandmother.
