We are trying to find evidence of his Catholic marriage possibly in Ballyphillip between c. 1800 - 1822.
We have travelled to PRONI and Ballyphillip in Portaferry but have not located marriages or baptisms there - records not available for that period.
One of their sons Andrew was born in Ireland, we are presuming Portaferry if not elsewhere in Down in c. 1821- 1822.
The entire family left Ireland to live in IOM.

Hi Wills,
this may be the family of my GGG grandmother, Sarah Lynchey, who was sentenced on the Isle of man along with a son, Thomas. Both arrived in NSW in 1835.
I have traced sarah's life in the Colony, however Thomas is a Mystery from shortly after he was given his Ticket of Leave in 1844.
I have found anothe descendent of sarah's, a lady who lives in Cheshire, she is descended from the son Andrew who you mention and has sherd information with me.
I am happy to share any informatio with you.
Cheers
Peter
