We believe the town/Parish was Clonmore/Togher. He died in 1894 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He emigrated to the U.S on August 1, 1852. Records indicate he took a ship from Liverpool, England to the U.S. He was Catholic. His father was Nicholas Harlan, mother Julia (no maiden name given). I believe he was from Togher. They had 9 children: John B:1816, Nicholas B: 1818, Andrew (my great grandfather B: 1819, William B: 1820, B: 1820, Thomas B: 1828, Michael, Catharine & Julia (no date of birth given)
Property records in Johnstown, Cambria County Pennsylvania indicate Andrew Harlan May have emigrated with his brothers John and Nicholas at, or about the same time as Andrew.
Andrew married Mary Darby in Johnstown, Pennsylvania in 1860. Mary Darby was born in 1834, in Meath County, Ireland. They had 8 children Andrew was number 6.
