Teach Lios Lochlainn aka Danesfort House was the seat of the Co. Roscommon Roycrofts.

The 1749 Census of Elphin shows Gilbert and Ann Roycroft, as well as other members of the Roycroft family, were resident in the parish of Killummod.

In 1806, Gilbert Roycroft, res. Danesfort, Carrick-on-Shannon sought proposals for the leasing of Ballycomeen House and offices, near Jamestown [Dublin Evening Post -  03 April 1806]. In 1814 it was recorded as the seat of Gilbert Roycroft.

By 1834, Danesfort was occupied by Thomas Roycroft Esq. (appointed to the Grand Jury for the half barony of Boyle that year). In 1837, Lewis also described "Deansfort" as the seat of the Roycroft family.

In March 1871,  in the Carrick-on-Shannon Union election of Guardians, William Roycroft and Thomas Barrett (res. Carrick) were closely contested for the electoral division of Danesfort. Following that, the Roycroft estate fell into financial difficulty. In July 1888 William Roycroft offered the property for sale in the Land Judges' Court but the sale was adjourned.
