Ellen left Liverpool via Plymouth to Port Adelaide arriving 10 Sept 1849 on board Elgin as one of 221 Orphans of which 193 were from workhouses in Clonmel, Fermoy, Lismore, Skibbereen and Killarney.

Elgin ship's list lists and accounts for all 15 girls from Clonmel. So Ellen Dalton was from one of the other workhouses. I am leaning towords her coming from either Fermoy or Skibbereen workhouses but can't be sure. Surviving Fermoy workhouse records don't go back far enough. I haven't had much luck with the other workhouses yet but still looking.
Anyone else got any more clues/leads?
