Catherine Lendrum, b. 1791 in County Fermanagh, was married to Robert Greer, b. 1780, Ireland, died, 1833, Mullaghmore, Clogher Parish, County Tyrone. After her husband's death, she emigrated to America n 1834 with her 13 children. She first went to upstate New York and then moved to Rushville, Illinois in the late 1830s where she died in 1859. She made the trip to America with her sister-in-law, Lucinda Crozier, the widow of martin Greer, brother of her husband, Robert. It is possible that their trip to America was financed by the landlord, Gen. Hugh Montgomery, to get the two widows off the land so he could bring in more prosperous tenants after the deaths of their respective husbands.
