White’s Bar and Grocery was in business throughout the 19th century where it was one of many pubs which served the local community of Tulla. Thomas White was the owner for many years and on his death, the business was taken over by his son Thomas, Jr. In the 1950s, this business was used as a bed and breakfast and was very popular with many fishermen who came to stay and fish in the lakes dotted around the parish. This building is currently occupied by descendants of the White family and also as a business premises for Clare Walks Ltd.
