The North Mayo Heritage Centre was appointed by the Irish Family History Foundation as the official family history research centre for the northern half of County Mayo. Located in Enniscoe House near Ballina, the Family History Unit offers a full service to those inquiring about their family history.
The centre also features a small museum, exhibition area, book shop, looped walks, organic garden, ornamental garden and ‘The Secret Garden Cafe’ with over 15 thousand visitors each year. The North Mayo Heritage Centre is a not for profit enterprise which provides local employment. By visiting the centre or using the research services, visitors are helping the local economy.
