  • Hello, Isaac Law is my 4th great grandfather as well. I'm in Orlando FL USA

My grandfather was William Clinton Law and his father John B Law and his father John Law Jr. and his father John Lee, Sr (confusing right but not uncommon I'm told), whose parents were Isaac and Harriet Law of Clogher, Tyrone and his father Captain William Law.

  • Very cool, Cousin! Delighted to meet you. Are you still in Canada? My parents William Devitt Law was born in Philadelphia. We moved to Miami, Florida when I was a child. My other cousins were in the Philadelphia area and we didn't see very frequently.

  • Yes I live in Canada. Port Colborne Ontario for 6 years not even knowing this is where my maternal great grandparents lived and worked. Very interesting facts. I found out some information through the local archives. I never knew I had any Irish ancestry.

My Irish Ancestors were well known on my Mother's side but we were surprised that the Law side wasn't English.  I had the opportunity to visit the Ulster American Folk Park in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland this past October and the park is dedicated to the emigration from Ireland but certainly gave me much thought of where our ancestors lived and how. If you ever get the chance to visit, you will find quite interesting. It was my second visit to Ireland and I truly enjoyed.
