Hello,
I am researching the life and times of Patrick Harran, son of Hugh and Bridgit Harran, born 1856. He is believed to have entered the British Civil Service around 1875.
He emigrated/ was transferred to the Cape Colony around 1881 and spent the next 28 years in the Cape Forestry Department. During this time he was posted to Knysna, Southern Cape and King William's Town and Keiskammahoek, in the Eastern Cape.
Trying to locate the farm near Boho where he would have spent his early years.
