Hello from quarantined New York. My O'Day family remains a mystery. We HEARD County Clare as a possible origin.....but was never really discussed with people who might know the truth. SO, I am looking for relatives of Thomas O'Dea (our immigrant who may have been born in the early 1800s/immigrated to NY/worked on the docks/and passed in 1894). His death record states parents were James and Mary O'Dea. His wife was also an immigrant, Catherine Houlihan (1841-1900). To the best of our paper knowledge, they had two daughters, Nora and Mary (b.1862 and 1864 in NYC), which could be important in tracing family naming patterns. Looks like the spelling of their last name changed frequently. If anyone has any ideas, I would truly appreciate them and will do the work to find connections! THANK YOU! Ann Marie
