John and his wife Julia (Guilfoyle) emigrated to Brisbane, Queensland, Australia from Plymouth on the "Argyle" arriving on 28 July 1952. They were married in Borrisokane, County Tipperary. John's Queensland death certificate stated he was born near Nenagh, County Tipperary. His parents are named as John Feehan and Sarah Slaven. Julia's parents names are unknown to me. Their 3 daughters, Sarah (Sally), Julia (Judy) and Maria (b.1844 Ireland) accompanied them on the ship. Maria married James Brimelow in the Congregational Church, Wharf Street, Brisbane on 23 October 1869. Maria and James were my great great grandparents. Any information, particularly regarding Julia (Guilfoyle) would be most welcome.

I am attaching the Feehan families shipping record. It gives the parents of Julia [Judith] as William and Mary HOGAN, both dead. The first names Julia and Judith are often substitued.
