Michael Campion, son of John Campion and Eliza Mordan (Mordaunt) is my great grandfather, and I am searching for Mordaunt connections in Ireland. Michael appears to be the only child of the marriage who survived to adulthood. I have identified two other sons who died very young. Eliza Campion appears in the Albany city directory until 1863. I suspect she may have remarried as she was still a relatively young woman when widowed. I have been unable to find her date of death or place of burial, so I have been unable to track her back to Ireland. (Death certificates in New York state list parents' names and place of birth.) My research leads me to believe Eliza was from Wexford or Wicklow.
Michael Campion married Honora Mary Sheehan and had four sons and a daughter: John, George, Edward, James and Catherine. He had a prior marriage to ??? Albert who died leaving a daughter Mae, who married a Flagler.
