John Spencer, born in Tipperary 1828, was my great-great-grandfather. As far as I know, he married Catherine Grainger in Tipperary in 1855 and a son, Thomas Spencer, was born in South Australia in 1856. I don't have any verification for these facts, but they seem feasible. If anyone has access to Irish records, I would love to be able to verify John Spencer's birth in Tipperary. John died in Norwood South Australia in 1897.
