John McVicker, born about 1795 in Layd, Antrim. Married Bridget ( Bedda) McFaul, also of Antrim, about 1820. Their parents are unknown, They had at least 4 children before immigrating to Tyendinaga, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. Children: John (1821-1847), Daniel (1828-1920), Mary ( 1838- ), Thomas (1840-1884), and James (1842-1937). They immigrated between 1842-1847. Several other families from the Layd area also settled in Tyendinaga, BLACK and DELARGY ARE 2 names mentioned.
