My great grandfather (John Power) was station master here and lived in this house with his wife (Mary Conway) and 4 sons. They moved to Dublin in the late 1920s! I have loads of postcards sent to this house from their 3 eldest sons who later lived in England. Their youngest son moved with them to Sandymount, where they died and he lived on. My mother(and her 2 brothers) was born in the house in Dublin and when she married, she moved into the house next door. I've so much old 'stuff' (postcards, photos, etc.), that were kept. Even a marble bust of great grandmother Mary Conway! Anyone with any info on the station masters house, I'd love to hear from you. I'd love to visit it too, if possible? Thanks, Mary
The Lisnagry Railway Station was built in 1858.
For the first 20 years of operation it was called Nenagh Road station.
Lisnagry is no longer in use.
