Patrick Francis Bushell was born December 11,1805 and married his wife Julia Downey on February 13, 1830 in Ardfinnan, Tipperary. They Had seven children all born in Ardfinnan before he emigrated to The United States in September of 1847. He and Julia had one more son in the U.S. Patrick became a Naturalized Citizen in 1855. He went on to serve for the Union as a Sergeant in the Pennsylvania Infantry during the Civil War. He worked as a bricklayer for many years before He died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania February 16,1855.
