If I could ask nicely to help me untangle a bit of confusion, on my part. My 3x's great grandfather was born circa 1785 apparently in Killeevan, Monagham, IRE. Nathaniel BARBER, then married Elizabeth Williams, who was said to have been born in Ballymena (circa 1786). Their children (those born in Ireland were said to have been born in Cavan Co - and in Armagh) James in Cavan, Francis & Samuel in Armagh. Now having unfortunately never having visited my homeland (yet), I was wondering if this seems to be a possibility. I so much want to find their parishes but have drawn a blank at this point. Any thoughts?
Place of migration
Migrated to /Born in Canada
So in the 30 years since I started my ancestry, and research within Ireland, County Cavan & Antrim were two Counties that were mentioned. I now see a Nathaniel Barber in Monaghan Co, and would like to know if this may be the real person, I am looking for.....Nathaniel was born about 1785, and married likely sometime about 1810, to Elizabeth Williams, they had 5 children, 4 born before emmigration to Canada: James (1817); Francis (1825); Samuel (1829) & Sarah (1831). I am going to assume they left Ireland shortly after Sarah's birth, as their last daughter was born in 1837 in Canada - Eliza. Any shove in the right direction would be very much appreciated.
Thanks to all my Irish kin
Love to visit someday
Paul Barber
