A family of Hickey arrived Australia 17th August, 1860 per Tudor Daniel, aged 33 (b c1827), Mary, aged 35 (b c1825), Thomas, aged 16 (b c1843) and Margaret, aged 13 (b c 1847) The age of Margaret is wrong to match with the information from the obituary but could be a clerical error. Mrs. Margaret Mary Ryan died at her residence, "Lynton," Jersey-road, Paddington, recently, at the fine old age of 83 years. [...]It was at St. Benedict's that she married her first husband, Mr. Thomas Hogan, in 1871, and some years after his death she married, at St. Patrick's, Mr. J. J. Ryan, who predeceased her by 33 years. The late Mrs. Ryan, who was in the hotel business for many years in the city and suburbs, was born in Tipperary in 1850, and 10 years later came to Australia with her parents. [...] The interment took place at Rookwood Cemetery, where Father Egan officiated at the graveside [...] One son and six daughters are left to mourn their loss, and to these the deepest sympathy is extended.
