They married in Wareham ,Mass, USA on Feb.26, 1847. Their 1st born child, Daniel J. Ryan born in USA 1847. They eventually settleled in Nova Scotia, Canada. Port Hawesbury( once known as Ship Harbour), Port Hastings, Plaister Cove. They had 9 children,: Daniel (1847-1920) , Mary Jane(1849) , Sarah (1851), Ann(1854), Joseph Edward(1854- 1940) , Elizabeth(1859), James(1862) , Amelia Ann(1865- 1873) and John(1856) , John emigrated to Australia.
