His age 'slips' across the birth certificates for his 10 children all born in Australia eventhough he is the Informant. He was a farmer and a hotelier.
When he dies in 1889 in Temora NSW, the Informant, his son, lists his place of birth as Tipperary Ireland and his parents as John Hingerty, farmer and Ann Moony.
The Hingerty surname suffers from many transcription errors and many spelling deviants- on the marriage certificate it is variously spelt Hengerty Hagerty Huigerty.
