Denis Rourke, my grandfather. Was born in Monasterevin, County Kildare. He was a kicker in Irish football. A lot of his family still lives in Monasterevin today.

Great photo! I've traced my family back to Monasterevin and my 2nd great-grandmother, Catherine Rourke. She married John Bell, Sr. Catherine and John had eight children (that I know of): Rose (1853), Thomas (1855), Mary (1857), John Jr. (1859), Patrick (1861), Anne (1863), Edward (1865), and Catherine (1868). Catherine Rourke Bell is buried in Passlands Cemetery.

If you or anyone else have any more info on the Rourke/Bell family and are willing to share that info, I'd be grateful!
