Very little is known about Thomas. According to the documents we've found, he was apparently a "victualar" in Clonmel, Tipperary. He was maried to Mary LONERGAN.
One of his sons, probably the oldest, was Michael Cantwell. Michael emigrated to Indianapolis, Indiana USA about 1848. His sister, Margaret emigrated to LaCrosse Wisconsin and Thomas joined her there. She was married to John Manning. Thomas is buried in the Cantwell plot in LaCrosse. We do not know what happened to Mary Lonergan.
