Timothy Crowe married Catherine Crowe after the birth of their first child Judith in 1829. Following the marriage in Jan 1830 they had another child John in 1831.
This area was known as Glenaglagh but, as is normal, there are a million spellings for this area and on townlands.ie is called Coumbach from memory and there is no recognised road here
Of interest to me was the fact that Patrick Crowe = Winifred Halloran started here with another relative James Crowe. Patrick and Tim were half cousins and the relationship with James has still to be defined but I think he is a full cousin to Patrick. These three all migrated to Tipperary to an are called Upper Turriheen and Kilcommon near Clonoulty Tipperary but in my family as the mountain called Glenaneigh where their fortunes were better and Tim and Pat had families and many descendents. So many in fact it is difficult to fathom who is who. There were over 100 Crowe families around this are with the same number near Sologhead and Cappaghwhite back towards Limerick.
Another Crowe from Glenaglagh was another Patrick who married Margaret Conway. From this family grew a small empire of pig buyers and butchers in Limerick leading to a company of meat producers still active in Tipperary today and I am told the Crowes still run this family business.
