Born in Caherconlish in 1864 and trained as a cooper in Limerick before landing a job with Guinness Brewery in Dublin. He Married Catherine Coll in 1887 and the family moved to Dublin in 1911. He was shot dead while going to work on Easter Monday 1916, Just after the start of The Easter Rising and is buried in Glasnevin Cemetery.His name is on the Commemorative Wall erected in 2016 in Glasnevin.
