My Martin had son named James Bernard McNamara born 1861 Wathena, Doniphan Co., Kansas, USA
On 1880 Census in Wathena, Kansas Martin has brother Dennis McNamara living with him. Martin is widowed as his wife died 1875. Did say they came from Michigan USA to Kansas. Not able to find anymore from where they came from in Ireland. I can only guess Martin's dad was a James but no evidence except how the naming went in Ireland.
