A few years ago, I visited Anhid Cemetery because I was told by another family member that my Great, Great Grandfather, Edmond O'Shaughnessy was buried there. I did not find a grave stone for him but I do believe he was very poor. He had many children but only Michael was living with him in the 1911 census in Cloghadoolarty North. I believe most of the children emigrated to either United States or Australia. My Great Grandfather, Patrick Shaughnessy, left for the United States when he was 20 years old in 1874. He went with his wife Katherine Ryan and they settled on a farm in Warsaw, NY. Is there a way I can find out if Edmond was buried in Anhid? Or where he may be buried? He wife had died much earlier.
Thank you!
