Laurance Long was born in 1815 in Tipperary, Ireland. Died in 1890 in Little Falls, Morrison, Minnesota, USA. He is my second great-grandfather. He married Catherine Butler b.1835-d.1914.She too was from Ireland, but have little information on where she was from, but believe she was from somewhere quite near to Thurles They had ten children, all of whom were born in Iowa, USA. Laurance had two brothers, John T Long 1822-1887 and James Frances Long 1832-1889. We know his brother James was born in Templemore and we are assuming that my Laurance was as well.
