Patrick Moroney was baptised in Tipperary town on 6th January 1834. His parents were Michael Moroney and Mary Costelloe. he was from Tipperary and she was from Cashel. They settled in Thurles where Michael was in business as a boot and shoemaker. Patrick took over the business when Michael died. Patrick married Brigid Corcoran from Graigue, Killenaule. He died in Cork in 1904.
