Johanna was born about 1832 in Tipperary, We believe her to be the daughter of Daniel Bergin and Margaret Russell, who went to Australia in 1839 and left their 7 year old daughter Johanna behind in Ireland.
On 26 Jan 1859 in Templemore, Tipperary, Johanna married Daniel Hayden (1826-1896). They had children Martin (1859-1930), Mary (1862-1945), Joseph (1865-1952), and Patrick (1868-1951).
Martin married Bridget Maher and stayed in Ireland.
Mary immigrated to New York City, USA, and married Patrick Sutton (this is my line).
Joseph married Katherine Ryan, and they immigrated to New York City, USA, with their children in the early 1900s.
Patrick never married as far as I can find, and died in the County Home in Thurles.
Johanna lived in Athnid More, Rahelty, in 1901 and 1910 with her sons Patrick and Martin and Martin's family. She died in Thurles, Littleton, Tipperary, 23 June 1912.
