Alexander Lyons was born approximately in 1799 in Donegal Ireland. His exact birthdate is unknown. He came to the Province of New Brunswick in Canada with his wife Martha Matilda Doherty in 1835. he died March 27th, 1892 in the Province of New Brunswick. He had sons by the name of James, John, Alexander, Richard and Thomas.
