Thomas Francis Pollard was baptised on 11 May 1833 in Ballingarry (Slieveardagh), Tipperary, son of John Pollard and Bridget Carroll.
Tom married Judy Hackett on 18 Sep 1855 in Ballingarry, and immediately set sail for South Australia aboard the Lord Raglan. The family later moved to Melbourne, Victoria; Tom was a blacksmith and farrier, like his father.
Tom died on 12 Jun 1898 in South Melbourne.
