My grandfather, Robert John Nelson, emigrated to Philadelphia, PA, USA around 1924. He was born in Malin, and I believe the names of his parents were Robert Nelson and Rachel (Fulton) Nelson. He was one of 13 children in the family, as shown in the National Archives Census of Ireland records of 1901 and 1911.
He married Eleanor Finley and they had two sons, Robert John, and Elmer James. He was an elder in the Westminster United Presbyterian Church of Philadelphia. He was a Philadelphia businessman and owned and operated Nelson's Market. After retiring, he lived in Springfield PA until his death in 1959.
