James married a Fitzmaurice woman and they had two children, William Patrick Gould (b. July,1818) and Jane (b. Dec 1823). William immigrated to the US and settled in Statesboro, Georgia. It is beileved James joined him later and died in Georgia sometime between 1842 and 1844.
