My brothers and I are trying to identify our paternal great-great grandparents, John James O'Brien and Anne Archer, in Ireland prior to their emigrating to the United States (via Canada?). Our first concrete info on them is in Albany, NY in 1844 when our great-grandfather's older brother was born. Since the Archer surname is somewhat unusual in Ireland, the candidate couple we have found records of in Fetherd,Tipperary are of keen interest. The records indicate that John was baptised in 1812 and Anne in 1814. The records then show that they married in 1829 in Fethard, Tipperary. We would like to locate any additional information about them concerning potential emigration or relatives that could lead to finding descendants in Ireland today.
